Spotlight on Providence: WATERFIRE PREPARES TO OPEN ANOTHER SEASON IN DOWNTOWN PROVIDENCE

Imagine winding your way down a scenic waterway amid floating rings of fire in a replica of a Venetian gondola on a warm summer's evening. Now imagine this romantic scene is only 25 minutes from your new home at The Villages on Mount Hope Bay in Tiverton.

The setting is Providence, RI and the event is called "WaterFire," one of the fastest growing and "hottest" tourist events in the Northeast. Since WaterFire started several years ago, the response by Rhode Islanders and tourists has been amazing. The entire downtown Providence area has come alive with shops, casual and fine dining, and events for people of all ages to enjoy, day and night.

The resurgence of Providence has occurred throughout all parts of the city, from the cultural events at the Providences Performing Arts Center to the sports attractions at Dunkin' Donuts Center to the tri-level shopping at Providence Place.

Providence is also home to some of the finest colleges and universities in New England. Brown University, Providence College, the Rhode Island School of Design and Johnson & Wales University are known nationally for their educational excellence.
