Starwood Tiverton,
LLC Launches 290-Unit Adult Community on Mount Hope
Bay in Tiverton, RI
Rhode Island Governor
Lincoln Almond joined state and local officials
on November 7, 2002 at ground-breaking ceremonies
for The Villages on Mount Hope Bay in Tiverton,
RI. The ceremony was held on the 96-acre site now
being developed as New England's premier luxury
water front active adult community by Starwood Tiverton,
LLC. Karl Frey, managing director of Starwood Tiverton,
LLC thanked Governor Almond and all of the state
and local entities involved in the approval process
of this $90 million residential community, designed
for residents aged 55 and over.
"This project
has captured the excitement of the real estate and
business community in Rhode Island and the cooperation
which we have received from everyone has helped
to make this vision a reality," Frey noted.
Andrew Ross, managing
partner of New England Property Holdings, LLC, which
is developing and building the community for Starwood
Tiverton, LLC, noted that the recreational amenities,
both on site and in the surrounding Newport area,
will offer a waterfront lifestyle for adults 55
and over that is unavailable anywhere else in New
England.
"We will be creating
residences that provide spectacular water views,
plus on-site amenities such as a 10,000 square foot
clubhouse, swimming pool and nature trails along
3/4 mile of waterfront which can be enjoyed by home
owners and their guests," Ross said.
